I have one of those new phones as well. It works great for repeat callers, some scams and the scam-like so called charities are repeat callers. But there are still the hit and run guys. They call a number once or twice, once they have scammed a couple of thousand people or whatever they just go away and pop up under a new number with a new scam. The govt don't call list does go after some of the repeat callers, but they only have enough people to go after the really heavy hitters. Once again the hit and run guys fly under the radar.
In addition to that many of them are forging the caller ID, so they just start forging a new caller ID number.
So good idea, but it only works so well.
How do you block a number, using Uverse? The Customer Support at Uverse didn't know how (shocking!) and another told me that I need to subscribe to this service (BS!) is there a way without paying ATT more money?
thanks!
