I received a call from this number at 5:30 this morning! They left a message claiming to be the IRS. Do not fall for this one, folks! They even use a synthesized female voice so that you won't be tipped off by their heavy Indian accents. The real IRS NEVER calls citizens, especially from "Cell Phone TX". Block this number and report them to the Department of the Treasury.
Add me to the list above. No one ever calls me so a 8:30 AM call caught my attention. It was the same computerized female voice described by others. The whole thing sounded so preposterous I thought it may actually be from the IRS. I have Verizon so I blocked the phone # at VZW.com/blockedcalls.
I received the same female voice at 7.57 AM my time. I am central time. If you notice your phone doesn't even ring. They are using sly-dial . It does not give you the opportunity to hear the phone ring. It goes straight to voice mail. Thank you everyone. My recording just says call back to talk about this case file.
I got a call from 346-303-9918 at 5.53 am PST today as well claiming that they are calling from IRS and that they will file a lawsuit against me and I need to call them back. Planning not to respond.
I received an automated call from this number and a Washington DC number, 202-754-8446, a few minutes ago saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and asking me to call them. I knew it was a scam...also been receiving lots of scam email informing me I am the recipient of a large sum of money; they ask for personal information "in order to mail me the money."
