received a call from this number at my job. male left a voice message saying he would be out between 3-5 to serve me telling me I would need photo id and that my supervisor would need be present.
Just received a call from a Melinda Alex or Alice kind of mumbled her last name says she is a private contractor process server in my county and that she will be at my address between 3&5 to serve legal documents she said if I have any questions to call 346-772-2347 this is the first time I ever heard of a process server calling to tell you that they will be out to serve you papers
I just received a private call. The female stated she would be out to serve me tomorrow between 3 and 5 tomorrow. The voice was kind of muffled. I had to replay the message over a few times. She said I have been formally served. She left this number 346-772-2347
Phone calls are not legitimate methods of being served, formally or otherwise. NO real process server is going to call you in advance; you could hide if you knew they were coming. And you can't buy your way out of a summons, either, which is what they will claim if you speak to them. My advice is to block the number or at the very least, ignore them when they call.
