Received a call that Thursday and today from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from the law firm of Robert Shafer stating I had a law suit with criminal allegations and to return his call to give him my attorney's information. He then called my friend to say I was in serious trouble. And to not ignore the call as it could effect my credit and I would not be able to get social security benefits for 5 years. Um, who cares about credit when you are in prison for a crime? Made no sense. Called my attorney and it is a scam. He said to remember the weekend 9/11 and that they will take your information and wipe out your bank account. Do not return this person's call. 347 area code or 365

They called saying they were from the federal govt and i was selected for a $10,000 grant. of course i know this is [***] the govt does not give grants out UNLESS you have filled out and turned in proper paperwork. Also i highly doubt they would be having the same indian women calling people and being horrendously rude when you get testy with them. I told her that this scam was pointless and to go somewhere with the [***]. She proceded to tell me she was going to call me all day long. what a nasty person.
