I am a receptionist and get SPAM calls on the daily. Today received another BAD caller. The number is 347-227-6999. Indian gentleman wanting to speak with someone that doesn't work here. Insisting that they do, even though I advised them they didnt. Why waste my time? I put him on hold the first time and then refused the calls after that - 5 times this number has called... hang up on him each time. Refuse to play this game!!!
I got a call from what seems to be the same call center. I was asked for a name that i didn't recognize, so I decided to "help them out". I told them that person had moved to a new company, and gave them a number to retry. It's the local police station.
This number called my work number 2 consecutive times before I answered. It was an Indian guy, heavy accent, by the name of Steve Smith. He said he was with B2B Tech Hub selling finance/budgeting related spreadsheets. When I asked how he got my number he said he researched my company online and found my name. He asked if he could send me information via email, and I said sure because I was curious if he knew my email address. Sure enough, he did. The next day, I received an email but I deleted it. I should of told him the email address was wrong and of gave him a fake one.
That was my scenario. Steve Smith or something, B2B, etc. I thought, he was going to email only, and we got Office 365 cloud service to filter spam. So I said sure email them, but he hung up without asking for my email...We'll see if I'll get any spam reports tomorrow...
