Got the same message as Cali and others above. They called from 347-230-7236. Here is the message they left verbatim:
"Hello, this is James Campbell with a private servicing division of CLS. I am calling with regards to a formal complaint that requires your immediate attention. I have documents that are scheduled to be delivered to you residence or place of employment. We will only make two attempts to deliver these documents. Please have valid identification to ensure the proper delivery of the documentation. If you or your attorney have any questions regarding this matter, you can contact our client directly at 844-292-9779. Again that's 844-292-9779. Thank you."
They didn't indicate my name, address, place of employment or any other identifying information. The call originated from New York City and the "client" number to call is toll free. It is NOT general practice to warn someone prior to being served documents. No one is complaining about me except my wife. Daily. Obviously a scam.
I got a call from a guy saying that a local business had filed a civil complaint against me, and that I had 24 hours to contact the legal firm filing the complaint. He gave the phone number that I should call as 844-292-9797 and said I should reference case file AC1155.
A message was left on my answer go aching from 844 230 7236. The caller ID said Andrea Haye. The message said there was a complaint lodged against me and someone would come to my house or my work with documents. I needed to have pieces of ID to prove who I was. They left a number of who ever was supposed to have lodged the complaint... 844 292 8449. The number asked over and over again for my IDA number. The man leaving the message slurred his company name and never used my name. I doubt they would try to come to my work address... Wish they would... Lots of Correction Officers there.
I received a message from a James Campbell from CLS , caller ID from NY this morning. Saying i needed to call back regarding a formal complaint filed against me They will only try to deliver twice to my home address or work of employment. Gave a number 844-292-9779 that I or my attorney could call if we had questions. I'm concerned about identity theft....Bunch of BS
I just received a message at my work for James Campbell with CLS. He was talking about documents needed to be delivered and if me or my attorney needed to contact the client at 844-292-9779. SCAM!!
Same thing happened to me with the weird phone call out of nowhere. The auto message says they have some documents to deliver to me and a valid ID must me presented. I started to call them back, but decided to look up the number 1st just in case. Now I'm glad I did its definitely a SCAM
