The say they are online yellow pages and I immediately tell them we are not interested and to please not call again. They still all every 2-3 days. They are a harrassment company and nothing more.
When I answered the person on the other used very poor language skills and told me he was confirming my listing information for Verizon. He told me they do this every two years. He asked me information about my company such as the full name of the company, the street address and my name. When he asked me to verify this information using a recording device I refused and told him I would contact Verizon to make sure they had my correct information. I had an issue once before with someone "slamming" my Verizon account and I received an extremely large bill because they changed my long distance service without my permission. I'm pretty sure that's what this call was all about.
calls several times per week. Leaves no message on voice mail (business line). When I answer as a business call, they mutter something unintelligible and hangup. If I answer 'hello' there is dead air for a while before they hang up. Can't call their phone number back (from caller ID) because get trunk busy signal.
Verizon recommends reporting the harassing calls to the Do Not call at 1-888-382-1222.
This happend me yesterday 10/1. the number that was left was 646-351-1165 an attorney. It was very threatening phone call thta said that I was being investigated for a court case. I couldn't not understand the man. He told that there an arrest warrant for me and that the cops are going to pick me and take me to court the next day. He knew my address and place of employement. He calls my work twice but hang up.
