I got a call from 347-242-8290 saying they were from google tech support. That my computer recently showed up as having a virus and they could walk me through how to fix it. He wanted me to go to my computer and I refused. He tried to tell me it was a free service provided from google. You could tell he had an accent. I thought something was fishy like why would google call me?? called 11:30 in the morning to my cell phone.
I got a call saying a lawsuit was going to be filled agaist me and my social security number unless I called 724-987-6593. He said if I didn't call the nubmer a sherriff would deliver papers at my door in the morning. There is no reason anyone would sue me and this sounds like a scam.

13472428290 is a scam! a guy with an accent (sound like from india) told me that they were from windows and that my computer had a virus sending messages to their computer. I hung up on them.
The man with an Indian accent said he was from Google tech support and that my computer had downloaded a virus. He could help me "fix it" if I was sitting at the computer. Funny thing.....my home number isn't listed with my Google accounts. I have at least 4 computers and 3 tablets using Google on the same internet connection at my house. Oh, and 2 smart phones. Which one has the virus? Well, since I'm not a big dummy, and I'm married to a computer nerd, I asked him lots of fun questions like "How did you get my home number, and do you even know who I am?". "Which computer has the virus, I have a lot of them?" "My husband has a PhD. in computer programming, I think he can find the virus, thanks anyway." How many people fall for this stuff?!!
This was most definitely a scammer. He tried to tell me he was calling from tech support because my computer has a virus and is sending google messages. I was like "well that is strange because this cell phone isn't linked to any computers, please take me off of your lists"....He continued on saying I had to fix this now and just to go to my computer so he could help me fix it. I asked him which one of my 5 computers and what kind of computer it was. He repeated himself. Finally I said "Whatever scam you are trying to pull isn't working..." ...He hung up.
