It is helpful to know the links, as it allows them to be checked out, and sometimes we can even get them taken down. But some sites, (including this one I believe) are capable of delivering a malware payload to visiting computers. We don't want someone getting curious and clicking on the link. Safely visiting a malicious site requires lots of technical precautions, which most folks are not using.
