This person named Shawn left messages on my cell phone and at work. They are harassing and he doesn't leave the name of his company regarding any matter. They can't even speak english properly. I want to put a complaint against this number as they are stating there has been a case filed under my name for court.
i recived several phone calls from 347-256-6982 a Ms. Abraham inidcating that i had a pay day loan form 6 months ago that i did not pay. When I returned the call i got a man on the phone with a middle eastern accent as well and he informed me that if i did not pay i would be arrested and a case had been filed in court against me. Well there are several problems with that as i have not taken any pay day loans and when i question the validity of the debt the person could not give me any information such as loan company, telephone number or the amount of the loan that was supposedly issued. he said that Ms. Abraham had my file and only she could tell me the details so i asked that i speak with her and was told that she was not availble that day. I informed him that she had just left the message. He then said all he could telll me is that the total now was $319. well when i asked for them to send me proof via us mail he got irrate and the phone call was terminated. He did say he worked for the NY court department of investigation.
He said he was Clark Willis,with the cyber crime unit,and there was a case against my soc sec #.Had an accent.hard to understand.Threatening,said call was urgent and I needed to call back to get matter resolved.
I keep on getting phone calls from this number as well. They said the issue is very time sensitive and all, really thick middle eastern accent, and if I don't get back to them, they would file charges against my social security number. On top of that, the guy said that my ssn would be blocked to get any type of loans and my credit messed up. I get this phone call about once a week and is quite annoying.
I also have noticed they won't send me any kind of receipt of what I owed them via US Postal mail, and by law, debt collectors have to get in contact with you or send you notification by mail that you owe them a certain amount of money. They even have the audacity to say my SSN will be blocked by the U.S. government. Where do people get this kind of nerve to rip people off?! I have since blocked this number on my phone.
