"Calling behalf of the Internal Revenue Service Investigation Department, letting me know that an arrest warrant has been issued to me and my home address."
Received automated voice message from English speaking female (not Hindi) for immediate action for debt. Said the Company name twice as "MRS" (not IRS) Search finds http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-review ... ll-nj-90025254/ but they are a subsidiary under Department of Education, Student Loans http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/priv ... ivcapId=4560308 Had received another call same area http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/3477648269#p856191166495957062
A caller with a South Asian accent claiming to be from the IRS left a message saying to call back immediately, that "a charge had been filed against my name" and that if I didn't return the call immediately I would risk arrest!
Since the IRS has no police authority this is completely a scam.
Caller left message stating he was the Deputy Thomas O'brien from the local sheriff's office (call came through as the actual sheriff's office phone number) and that I should call back Officer Steve White immediately at the 347-286-7473 number to inquire about the charges (federal complaint against me for tax crimes) to avoid arrest. Confirmed with local sheriff's office this is a scam
