This was "James Edwards" with a HEAVY Mid-Eastern accent, inquiring about health/auto/home insurance, and offering a discount. Apparently, he will connect me with brokers in the U.S. - GREAT! This call was in violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry (NDNCR - my number has been on the Registry for many years). I gave bogus info about me, my car and house. Now, when they call offering products based on my bogus info, I will string each of the insurance salespersons along, getting as much info about their company as possible, then file a Better Business Bureau claim against each of them for using a third-party entity that is violating the NDNCR and thus BREAKING THE LAW (some flavor of "Bad Sales Practices" for the BBB) to drive sales leads to them.
