SOMEONE just did this to me and I appreciate this feed. I called my local police department and they told me to report it on the FBI page. Has anyone done this yet?
I just received a call from this number (347-298-6641) saying is from IRS has a legal case again my name and physical address, urges me to call them back. I haven't' return the call. Can anyone confirm this is scam?
Yes, the IRS confirms this is a scam. Just go to their website and search on IRS Phone scams. The IRS never initiates contact with a taxpayer by phone, always by US Mail. Any phone calls or emails claiming to be from the IRS are scams unless you had already called the IRS and are working with them on a problem.
Thank you Mike, I figure it's a scam. Don't believe IRS will be that nice to call you ahead of time to warn you a legal case lol. If its real IRS will have my real number on file not internet number they called.
