Got a call from a lady who alleged she was calling from the IRS. Gave me her identification badge and IRS number (to try to make herself more credible). She then proceeded to inform me I had an outstanding balance of $8,500.62 that I needed to pay today without which I will get arrested within the next 2 hours for tax evasion..... Sorry lady, you might have been able to deduce that I am a minority (based on my name) but what my name doesn't tell you is that I hold a graduate level education (PhD) and can easily see through the B.S......maybe next time the "lady" can work on a more believable story.... Sorry for all the immigrants, minorities, and other disenfranchised groups of people who fall prey to such  scams. As a public service, please help report these numbers to the authorities.....remember, it could happen to your loved ones.
