I got this same SMS text message on my cell phone today. This is considered TELEMARKETING... Are your cell phone numbers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry? If they are... then this company just violated the law.

And finally know the law... cell phone numbers are PRIVAATE and in some cases cost the cell phone owner money especially if SMS texting is not in the cell phone owners plan. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has laws governing the use of private cell phone numbers for SMS texting. Their website is http://www.ftc.gov/ <>
Fines for this type of illegal activity can be as low as $10,000 per occurrence. But in order for our government agencies to take notice; we the people have to be vigilant in making sure our complaints are heard.
