Lady by the name of Donna Spencer (with Indian accent) from the Investigating dept of internal regime service called me about 3 times this morning. I did not pick up because I do not pick up unknown numbers. She left a voicemail on the 3rd call saying there's a lawsuit being filed against me and if I do not call them back, they will get a subpoena against me and take me to court. I called her back cause I was curious what this was about. She said it was a "tax issue" I asked her to be more specific. But she got hostile. She only knew my first name and mailing address. She did not give me any more information as I asked for it but said that they have mailed me twice regarding the matter. I told her I didnt receive anything regarding anyone trying to sue me. She then told me she would have the sheriff come to my house and give me a subpoena. I told her go right ahead! Hate Scammers!!!
same thing happened to me this morning. 5-28-15. They called 2 times. I didn't answer. Then the Indian accent lady left a voicemail saying it was about my taxes. So I called back but no connection. Then they just called again and when I asked for her name and ID number she threatened to get me arrested. So I asked to speak with her supervisor and a very hostile guy threatened me with arrest Within 30 minutes if I didn't comply with him. After 20 minutes on the phone with him he finally hung up failing to get my payments. Must be a scam!!!
occasionally they call (when I'm away from my computer and the [new and unblocked] number rolls over to my cell) and tell me the ''police will be at my house in 30 minutes to arrest me'' at which time I ask whether ''I should prepare tea or coffee?'' They hang up then. The cell then blocks that number.
The danger here are those immigrants or others who do not know that the IRS doesn't behave this way and who could become quite frightened.
