This person called me 26 times today ,left 8 voicemails , I called back and she was asking for my address that she has a warrant for my address . She told me her name was Elyssa Brown and she was the Chief Investigations officer and that her badge number is 783596 and gave a case # starting with IR after telling her that I would call the IRS with that number she got even nore rude saying she was going to have this warrant sent to my local IRS office and would be arrested in the next 2 hours. The IRS usually sends letters in advance with information .
Received a harassing phone call with the caller pretending to represent the IRS, not giving any badge info and making threats of arrest for allegations of me not replying to fictitious mail they sent. When confronted by me to provide details, the female hung up abruptly. She had a heavy, indian or south asian accent. Called the number right back and got a male this time on the phone. Asked him what company it was, he said the IRS. Then began sneering and starting to get agressive. I told him that they were misrepresenting themselves and that IRS agents provide identification details and dont abuse taxpayers like this. Furthermore, this number they were calling from is in no way a bona-fide IRS local, field office for me. I used to work in tax law. I told them I will be reporting the number and the call for fraud.

Received this VERY annoying and VERY abusive call this morning: "My name is Cheryl. I'm from the IRS. Did you know there is an arrest warrant out for you?" I hang up, and they immediately call me back. "This is Cheryl, why did you hang up on me? Do you want me to send the police to arrest you?", Me: "I don't know who you are, and I get this threatening call from a number in NY", her: "I told you my name is Cheryl and I'm from New York office IRS (sic). If you hang up, I'm going to send the police to arrest you". I live in Illinois - I hung up. They called me back 3 more times, then I blocked the number. To whom do I report this abusive practice?
