On Friday, January 27, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. PDT I received a text message via cellular telephone stating:
>From 3473168817
>You have been selected for a BestBuy gift. Get your $1000 gift card at
>http://bestbuy.com.click4card.info/?id=191668
Upon visiting that web page one learns that it is a scam to get you to sign up and agree to terms and conditions that your are not allowed to view. IT IS A SCAM run by "bestbuy.mygiftcarddeal.com". (not Bestbuy) The web page states that "This Gift Redemption Program is an independent rewards program for consumers and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the listed products or retailers. Trademarks, service marks, logos, and/or domain names (including, without limitation, the individual names of products and retailers) are the property of their respective owners."
This scam is being allowed by a company called Enom, Inc. (http://www.enom.com) compaints of abuse of that company's policy by the owners of mygiftcarddeal.com, who names are kept secret by Enom, Inc., should be directed to Enom, Inc. Their telephone number is: 425.974.4689
