This is a total scam! People with various accents have been calling me almost daily for two years. They claim that my sister-in-law owes on a payday loan from five years ago which is false, she never took a payday loan. The amount of the supposed loan varies daily, sometimes it's $5000, the next day it's $1000 and they make threats if I don't pay on her behalf the US Marshall Service or the local Sheriff will come to my home with a warrant for my arrest. My husband and I have been in law enforcement for over 25 years so we know that this is nonsense. We used to hangup on them but now we just mess with them. We give them contact numbers of local prisons for my sister-in-law, faxed handwritten death certificates to them illustrated with stick figures, etc. Unfortunately these idiot scammers will never go away because if they call 100 people at least 4 or 5 will send them money.
