We got called from this guys weekly as private caller. This person said he's from GVN a 'Microsoft' family compagny and our computer is about to crash due to viruses. I asked him a few questions all he could gave me was his name (Rueh) and this phone number: 347-338-2307. Who are these people?
Received call from 347-338-2307 claiming to be microsoft tech support to fix a problem I was having. I was having no issues. Strong far eastern accent, claimed he was calling from Indiana. 347 is a New York area code.
One of our accountants (at work) received a phone call from a guy with an east indian accent (barely able to understand him) who reported that her home computer was flooding the internet with virus infected files and wanted to help her "fix it".
He said he was from "GVN Technologies" and his phone number was 347-338-2307.
GVN technoligies is in india. The phone number out of The Bronx, in New York and is listed to an outfit called Astait (astiait.com).
These people are crooks, don't buy their scam!!!

I wish microsoft would move to india, rather than importing their workers form 3rd world countries into the U.S. so they can pay them peanuts and improve their profit margins!
Just received a call from 347-338-2307, today, July 20, 2012.
Received same call from "Alvin" with same foreign accent saying my computer was in dire trouble with a virus and that he was calling from N.Y. He gave me same number which would go directly to his desk. I told him, I didn't have time to sit in front of my computer at this time.
We are in the middle of a family emergency. Calls such as this one are so frustrating. Calls are coming in often from unknowns and I THOUGHT we were on the No Call List!!!!
