How to Block Text Messages:
Before proceeding with the following steps, ensure that the auto signature feature is turned off for outgoing text messages.
From your wireless phone, create a new text message using the following guidelines:
•Enter 8888 for the recipient
•Within the message body, type B and the ten digit phone number you would like to block, (For example B 3084234567), then send the message. Notice the space between B and the phone number is mandatory
•Once the message has been sent, Alltel will block the number from ever sending you text messages again
I called Sprint/Nextel and had them block the number from several of our business's cell phone numbers. Sprint has already received several phone calls this afternoon regarding this particular scam.
