I got a text message from this number stating that they were from the law enforcement department. They did not give a specific name or identity to this law enforcement department. They said they were notifying me that there was a warrant of arrest issued in my name so I needed to call them or have my attorney call as soon as possible. The text message said that it was from Joseph Morris from law enforcement. This is a New York number I live in Illinois. I have not been to New York in years! And to my knowledge I have not done anything illegal!
Clearly telemarketers, calling from "....software support". I told them to get a real job and that they are telemarketers. He hung up on me...I got a similar call today at work. These people need to be stopped....
A man called me asking for Joe and I told them they had the wrong #. He proceeded to ask me if I had diabetes and I told him no. Then he asked me if anyone in my family had diabetes. At that point I told him I don't talk to strangers and he said "okay" and then terminated the call.
got a msg from same number saying it was IRS. call received Sat Memorial Day weekend.. Man, if anybody is working that day it is not a federal employee. sheesh what morons!
Keep a list of these fraud-scumbags by phone number. When they call again insult them. They need something to wear their hides down. Let them know that you know they are liars and thieves.
