Called and left long message saying thier is a warrent out for my husband for not paying his taxes ! Then gave a call back # which is the same # they called from ! Said if he doesnt call back in 1 hour police is comeing !

The IRS does not initiate communications
with a "cold call" to unsuspecting people.
Instead
The IRS always sends a letter, first!

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

I got the phone call that they had threatened me to pay.   When I said to them I call IRS to verify then he hang up.  They have Indian accent.

I received a call from the 347 349 5454 saying they are from the IRS, if I didn't call them back police will come and pick me up. Oh well, I am waiting, hope they can come here inside the base. I am here in Forth Drum, waiting for you Mr. caller. By the way the intonation is from India. But guess what I am working in Federal.

Yeah they called me also, saying I have a warrant because not paying tax... what a joke..
