He called me earlier complained about my childrem playing in the back ground he said my social will b seized and im going to jail and to not ignore him he will send the police didnt understand his voice brokem English
These people called me last week and threatened me that I will go to jail, my job will lose their business license, my ss# will be seized as well as my bank acct (to which he knew the info and how much I had in my acct), etc. Needless to say I closed my acct and told him it was a bunch of crap. He got very mad and told me police will be at my door in one hour....now here it is a week or so later and they called me again. I didn't answer this time.
Report the caller to the FTC, the FBI and also your state's Attorney General. You may also want to put fraud alerts on any new bank accounts you have and also with the three credit agencies (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion). If you can't block his calls, tell him that all calls he makes to you are being recorded and forwarded to the FBI.
If you do have a debt, legitimate debt collectors do not threaten or harass, and they send you a debt validation letter proving you owe the debt and that they can claim and collect said debt. Read about the FCPA and learn your rights as a consumer.
I now have identity fraud protection as well as all and any protection I can get from the bank and credit agencies. I contacted my local police department and they laughed and said that is the most ridiculous thing they have ever heard. If these people contact me again I will be taking action because this harassment is outrageous.
This caller called me just right now, and I came online right away to check out the number...this man said I had a big loan out and my social was going to be black flagged, that I had a warrant and I was going to jail...I told him I had no loan and that I was going to call police because he didnt sound american,he got very upset after that and started asking me if I was osama binladens brother...that [***]...I do have to admit he has me worried aboutbeing arrested for a bit!!
