FDCPA §1692e(4) prohibits "the representation or implication that nonpayment of any debt will result in the arrest or imprisonment of any person or the seizure, garnishment, attachment, or sale of any property or wages of any person unless such action is lawful and the debt collector or creditor intends to take such action."

Got a call from this. Indians trying to scam people. Say they are from IRS and will arrest me if I don't comply. I hope they arrest me soon because I rather get arrested than for them to harass me with dumb calls.

Got 8 calls from this number yesterday and three voicemails by a lady named Lisa Brown when she clearly had an Indian accent. These 8 calls were within a 15 min span. From the IRS saying they issued a warrant and I need to call back in a couple of hours or they will arrest me.
I also got a call a few months back from a Connecticut number with the same crap. I laughed at the Indian guy (go figure) and he said "Ma'am, do you think this is a joke? You will be arrested." Okay, sure buddy.
FYI, THE IRS WILL NEVER THREATEN YOU WITH THAT STUFF.
