I received the call from this # yesterday. I didn't answer it due to unrecognized number. This morning called again with 347-441-5099.
I answered it and she said that it was her who called yesterday and today she was calling from different number. She claimed she was calling from IRS investigation because I have tax issue. She said that IRS sent me letter on 24th to my address and no answer back so she called me to give me last chance prior to take action. She asked me what was the reason that I didn't answer that letter. I asked her what address they sent it, she gave me my old address which I never used to tax report. I told her that I was suspicious about her call and asked her where did she get my address because IRS shouldn't have that address. She said if I believe that her call was fraud, simply hangup the phone and before I did that she hanged up.
Had the same number call me! She didn't ask for money or personal information, but just kept telling me to change my address and asking how I filed my taxes. I don't understand what the purpose was? I reported the number and the rest of the information to the IRS. I was so upset thinking I messed up my taxes! Just block the number.
