I also received a charge of $4.58 in relation to this number for a company called Triton Global. The phone company confirms that this was not a call I placed, but rather that this company bills your phone bill when someone enters your phone number online to purchase a service. They let people just enter phone numbders like this? Randomly? Where is the law in all of this? What about privacy? This is completely absurd that a company i have never heard of billed my phone bill. Call your phone company and block them block them block them!
That is called third party billing also known as cramming. The phone companies get a cut from these charges so they are reluctant to be aggressive in validating third party charges. See if your phone company offers a block on third party billing and if so, activate it.
