Is this a new scam? I just got a voicemail from Emma Bennett saying that I owed IRS money and need to call her back before they open an investigation against me.
"Is this a new scam? " This scam has been running for years and I have to wonder how you didn't hear or read about it somewhere. It is on TV, radio, newspapers and the internet including many different sites as well as Government sites.
IRS Scam:
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

Her name is Elyssa Brown, phone number 347 377 8952. She said calling from Investigation Department of Internal Revenue, She said there is a tax invasion against my name and they want to arrest me. They said that they have sent 2 notice mails to me. Actually I did not received anything. She gave me my case ID of IR 817016. 07/19/2016
