For several days I received calls with just three digits appearing on my phone screen. I finally answered and a woman said she was from federal grants in DC and told me that I was selected randomly for a $9,000 grant free. She already had my address and phone # but I needed to speak to another person to complete this process. She gave me 347-380-6995 to call with my security code of AK0430. I immediately looked to see if this was legit and I'm glad I did! I see I was being scammed!
If an Amy Johnson calls offering government grants of 9 grand... all you've got to do is load money onto a green dot money voucher... laugh in her face... the lady got real nervous and mentioned the phone call was getting distorted and breaking up when I stated that I was a detective with the local fraud department...I had to have fun... the following day a gentleman by the name of Robert called..im going to have to research and find out how they pull this kinda BS off.
Do not fall for this bs it's a scam. I've been receiving calls for several weeks. Decided to just listen to what they had to say. Nancy proceeded to tell me of a grant of $9000 and said she would transfer me to o the manager to verify information and get my check out to me. Then instead of transferring my call she sstarted asking personal questions that i know no one from the US government would ask because they already know the answers.
My wife received a call from phone number 032uknown informing her that the Government was giving out once a year $9,000 grants to help pay off student loans we were paying on. She knew my wife's name, address and phone number. Gave us a case number KU0415 and asked her to call 347-380-6995.
Looked to good to be true. We did not call but looked the number up. Thanks for the info.
