These telemarketer clowns call using multiple phones at a time, they dial two or three people, and that's why it takes them a moment to actually answer if you happen to pick up (I saw this trick used by real estate salespeople).
About 1/2 the time they will ask for a fictitious person (always Mike Smith in my calls), then when you say they have the wrong number, they apologize and start talking about refinancing your mortgage. The other 1/2, they ask for you by name and start the refi pitch.
I agree with "Citizen" Do they think we are stupid enough to answer and listen to the bad English, try to figure out what they want? I put all these #'s on "call block" - one ring and they are gone - Best addition to the call service on the phone system-EVER.
Yes, they call all the time. Sometimes twice a day! Never leave a message.
The sad thing is my phone can only take like 20 blocked calls......then I have to delete one to add a new one. Ugh!!
Company calls me all the time and as soon as I answer they hang up. No robo-voice and no live person. It's irritating, as my number is a home based business and this disrupts my day constantly.
You try to call back and you get a recording that the number is no longer in service.
