We live in the Chicago area. Our landline rang at 7:40AM. Caller ID didn't show number, but showed it was from Bronx, NY. I answered & lady with a heavy foreign accent asked for my spouse by first & last name(background from caller sounded noisy) I hung up, but caller called right back. I picked up again, identifying myself as the Mrs. Caller wanted me to take message for spouse to call 347--389-0170,that she was Annie Johnson from the U.S. Treasury, Department of Legal Affairs, and it was an urgent legal matter. When call ended I googled number-showed it was the Bronx. Found scam alert on Treasury website regarding similar calls.

The 347-389-0170 number called my parents house in which I have not resided at in about 20 years. Caller had heavy accent and said that she was from the Department of Treasury, Legal Affairs with an urgent Legal Matter. I was the recent victim of a mass identity theft, so I'm betting that Annie Johnson has somehow affiliated with that.
This number called 3 times, always leaving a deliberately unintelligible name with a nasty message about my being in a "legal jam". I called them, requesting them to identify who they were & why were they leaving threatening messages early in the morning. The heavily accented man refused to identify the company & kept repeating " legal department". When I said I was reporting the # to the BBB, he told me not to yell at him & hung up. I called again & blew a shrill whistle as long as I could.
