got a similar text message . per so wrote he is working for a drilling ship and could make arrangements for a cash nor cashiers check deal but could do it thru paypal. Glad i looked up the number. Smells like a scam
I am trying to sell a car on Craigslist and have gotten several texts from 2 different people. Both saying the same thing, have funds only in their paypal account. I just keep replying to them with Cash Only.
Selling a dirt bike. Same load of bs. Out of state, "speaker is broken on phone" so text only. Have someone pick it up, paypal, wants to pay before looking at it or anything. As soon as they said they were in NY ( I live in NC) i was wary, then as it went on I called them out on being a scammer and received no more texts. I know better than that. Dont be fooled.
