We've received this threatening message from 3 different phone numbers. It's a shame that nothing can be done to stop these people. They must find it worthwhile financially. The messages say this is the final attempt to reach you, but then we receive another threat from a different phone number.
Said it was the second attempt to contact me (it was the first time I heard from these scammers) said it was for a "federal criminal offense" and to "resolve this issue immediately" and to "speak to a federal agent" call this number. Scammers looking to scare people and take their money. Don't fall for it.
Got a call today from this POS in New York . I called back and wanted his address. Wouldn't give it to me. Said he was IRS AGENT. Told him I was a state policeman following up on a call. Then told me he was with the FBI. Told him to drop dead.
said to contact a federal agent at this number pertaining to the IRS. Said it was the 2nd attempt, which is bull, as this is the first time getting this kind of call. They said if I don't call back, I could end up going before a magistrate. Already heard of this scam, so not going to respond to them.
