Same as ES reporting above. No way I will respond to anything like this. Probably just trying to confirm an active connection and then would spam me to death.
Don't know who this is, but I'm pretty sure they are up to no good. $100 Gift Card to "Thank Me". That's alright, it was nothing, keep your gift card. Reply "STOP"? No, I don't think so, since I am pretty sure you will not stop, and just want to get a reply from me to validate that I can receive text messages, or to fake a signup with your service, or some other scammy reason I haven't thought of yet.
One scenario does come to mind, the $100 "gift card" to thank may be for signing up with some find of phony info by text service that they are going to claim I signed up to receive. Good luck with that. I put a parental lock on all of my phones some years back which prohibits any third party pay services.

I received a text from this number a couple of days after someone hacked into my credit card and charged $100 to Amazon (probably a gift card). Be careful about checking your credit card statements.
