A man with a strong Indian Accent, sometimes I was unable to understand what he was saying. He stated he was from the IRS and the IRS was taking a suit against me and that I needed a lawyer to represent me. When I attempted to give him my lawyers name and phone number he was belligerent stating that he "needed to talk to me right now" and that "he was not gonna call my lawyer". He wanted me to give him all my personal banking information or credit/debit card. He insisted that I tell him my age! I told him if he was with the IRS he would know my age from any tax records. He started yelling at me calling me a loser and using the "F" word and other profanity.
The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.
