I received a call from this number this morning on my cell phone who claimed to be an IRS Representative advising me that I am being audited and that there is a warrant for my arrest issued due to my lack of response. They had a court number and gave a IRS badge number and name Shawn Morris. Court ID IR 621730. Heavy accent and very bad connection. It was obviously a scam. I didn't let it get far enough for them to even request whatever they were going to request. I could see how this would be scary though as they were very persistent and threatening.
Received a cal from this number claiming to be the IRS Investigation Department. They indicated that I failed to respond to CP2000 and CP11A notices and that a warrant was being put out for my arrest. Bad connection and accent - search indicates it is a Sprint cell phone in Brooklyn. Did not demand information or cash, but did threaten arrest, fines, etc. Suspect there will be a follow up call to send cash to avoid arrest based on above comments.
Did not get a badge number but they indicated that I failed to respond to CP2000 and CP11A notices - which are real documents. Did not request any information but threatened arrest, fines, etc.
