Received a call from 347-416-5132 and the caller identified himself as the IRS and said I owed 1,800 in taxes from a loan. He demanded I pay $500 today and asked for payment info. I thought this was strange since the IRS will first mail you a letter so I hung up the phone; they didn't call back.
Called me about a legal claim that has been started against my identity. Said I owed 2k in tuition fees but and asked if I could make a payment of $500. I told him I didn't and he hung up on me.
Called saying he was the IRS. Started saying he had some legal filing against me and asked me if I had received a call from someone- I could tell it was bogus and hung up.
Just had this number call me. Gentleman spoke in very broken English and told me a complaint had been made against my name, he claimed he was from Federal Law Enforcement. Didn't answer, but recieved the message on my voicemail. Truly bogus?
