got 2 calls today. said i owed them for a loan from 11/2009. i knew it was bogus because i don't even have a bank account. the first time i got a call the caller ID said "Private Number". i don't answer those. next one i got, the ID said 000-000-0000. i don't recognize that number. the people that called were named Ronnie Cooper and the other was James Wilson. both were foreign accents. but American Names. i guess some attorneys are desperate to get $$$$.
Ronnie Cooper from (347) 416-5146 called to say I had taken out a Cash Advance loan in the amount of $250.00 but they had not received one penney. He had my bank account number but I had never had a loan in that amount. Said he would contact my employer to take action since I now owed $742.99. Told him I would research and call back. He wanted an exact day and time and wanted to set up arrangements to pay back. Couldn't tell me when the loan was taken out. Couldn't fax me anything.
I too recieved a call from the Ronnie Cooper last night on both my cell and work nubmer. Threatening to take me to jail and press charges as well as report a theft to my employer. This is on two loans that I supposedly had outstanding. with leagal fees and interest it was 1579.99. He wouldn't give me any other information about how much the loans were for or fax me any documents proving that it was in fact my debt. I asked him if I could call him back, he stated that time was of importance and if he did not hear from me then he would proceed with filing documents in the morning. I then completed some research and found out that he was a FRAUD... after about 5 min. Mr. Cooper called me back at my work place, after I told him that he was not going to get one cent from me and that I have reported him and his phone number to the authorities...he laughed at me and said that he had my ss # and started reading it out to me and my banking account number and that he was going to wipe my account clean , also, that he was black listing my ss#. I was extremely upset called my bank right away and placed a hard freeze on it! THIS IS FRAUD AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION... I was told that they hack into systems especially if you have a PayDay loan established on the internet... Please be very careful!
I work for a payday loan company and one of my customers said that a guy named RONNIE COOPER called her and said that she owes thousands of dollars which is not true..all of this is FRAUD and it is a SCAM..i called the number (347-416-5146) and i tried to trick him into giving me an address and he wouldnt do it.. he just kept asking for my debit card..i also asked him for his website and he gave me two porn websites...he has a funny accent..******PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION.. DEBIT CARD NUMBERS..CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ECT. THE ONLY INFO HE HAS IS YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND YOUR NAME.! THIS IS FRAUD*****.. The man is trying to trick people and scare them so that he can get money..dont fall for this please.
