Threating to put me in jail over my taxes he also told me one day that I had forty minutes to pay them or he would start proceeding. even though my taxes are on a pymt plan and he cslled when the State offices were closed due to gov. shutdown. He lives in N.Y.and is calling from a land line. phone carrier is core tel.
Left message on another family members answering machine. Called himself Michael Smith, spoke with heavy Indian/Pakastanian or similar accent. Claimed to be calling from Department of legal Affairs. Enforcement has been started. I should call him immediately or retain an attorney and have the atty contact him. Never once left message about Who he was representing, what the legal matter was of what enforcement has been started. I never bothered to call back. It appeared to be a scam attempt based on my internet research of the phone number.
