The IRS will not call you unless you know we are - as in you contacted us and are expecting a call. We don't make threats or demand payment instantly either or take payments over the phone. . We kill lots of trees and send out lots of mail. If you receive a scam call please report it to www.tigta.gov and click on the IRS impersonation scam reporting link. The more info we have, the better we can combat these scumbags.
Received a call from this number and they left a voicemail stating they were from the IRS that I need to contact them now, this is the last call. They are filling a law suit against me.
Totally agree with melody and AC is absolutely correct. I called this person who is posing to be an IRS agent (yeah, right) and they asked me if I was some other person. When I failed to provide MY name, of course, they hung up. Back ground sounds like a typical call center.
