Man with a heavy island accent left a nasty message saying he was Officer Scott from the Law Investigation department and that if I didn't return his call I would be 'behind bars for six months,' and my employer would also be notified.
I received the same message. I informed him that I do not have any payday loans and I was going to have my attorney sue him for harrassment. This is a scam....do not fall for it.
Just got a call from someone with a heavy foreign accent telling me he was Officer Scott stating he was from the Legal Affidavit Department and had a case file on me and if I did not call him back I would be spending 6 months "behind bars." I did a little extra research and there is another phone number associated with Legal Affidavit Department that indicates this is a scam of some sort to extort money from innocent people. Do not fall for this or get all worked up over it. If I can figure out where to report them, I sure as heck will do it!
I just had a call from Officer Matthew Scott from the Legal Affidavit Department. Like Kay's Officer Scott, he had a heavy foreign accent, claimed to have a case file on me, and threatened me with 6 months "behind bars" if I did not return his call.
