SCAM!!! They claim they are Federal Investigators Department, since I could not pick up the phone the first time they call me, they left a VM for another person, the second time they called they had my name right. They claim that it is a courtesy call from IRS in connection to some correspondence I should have received and answered 2 months ago in regards to discrepancies in tax returns and there for there are dollars owed to the IRS from my part... He got aggressive because I requested another letter sent to my address from IRS so me and my attorney can review and respond accordingly, he threatened me that he will then issue a warrant for my arrest in my state and that a police officer will be at my house to arrest me within 30 Minutes!!!!!
I deal with IRS all the time, it is part of my job, they will never give you a cold call, it is always thru correspondence to either your house or office, if you choose to contact them via phone, they will make sure you are who you saying by asking SSN, address, etc.
Had a voice message from James Olsen, investigating officer informing me there was a legal case filed against me. I was to call him back 347.430.5579 by the end of the day. Jimmy Olsen had a thick heavy accent- ALMOST INTELLIGIBLE at times. English is not his first language. I called the number and a female answered 'Investigating Offices'. When asked point blank what agency she claim it was the IRS, Jimmy Olsen was busy and would call back in 5 or 6 minutes. I couldn't identify the accent it but it wasn't Spanish, French, Russian, Scandinavian, German or any European language. Perhaps African or Arab? REALLY!!! James (Jimmy) Olsen. Is his co-worker Superman?
Got a call stating they were from the investigation bureau of the IRS and that I had a warrant out for my arrest. They had my name and address mind. Quickly hung up when I started asking questions.
