Called claiming he was part of the IRS investigating my tax returns that were filed improperly the previous year. I asked them to email and send me another notification because I never received the first and he said he can't because he works at headquarters. I said I was on a plane about to take off and can't handle the situation right now and he said he was going to report me as running away from a federal case. My boyfriend took the phone, and the guy said he had to do something else and he hung up. In this case. I would ignore these calls. Call the IRS directly if you are worried.
Called twice left me a Voicemail the 2nd time. A lady with Indian accent claim to be IRS said I'm in trouble and urge me to call back.
Well, I know it's a SCAM and decided to call back and play with them and see how far they can go but, their voicemail said "I'm claiming to be IRS you may call the FBI and provide them with this phone number.
