Who called from 3474558842

I received a text message from 347-455-8842 stating that "You have been randomly selected for a BestBuy gift.  Get your $1000 card now http://bestbuy.TODAYSWINNERS,INFO/rprphbphby"  I quick search on google had me realize that numerous similar types of scams have come from 347-455-xxxx numbers.  Always be careful and never trust a text message from someone you don't know, no matter how good it sounds.

347-316-8997 call at 8:33 pm. Won a $1000 gift card at bestbuy, me and million otthers. Thank god i google it.

What i want to know is what do they (the people that send it) get out of it?
