My son had a call while he was at work, and this person left a message saying that his name was so-so Davis. He had an accent. He claimed that there was something wrong with my social security. So my son gave me the number and I called. The person answered but left me hanging on. So I called back again but this time it had a voice mail saying: Do not leave your personal information this is a scam.
This is definitely a scam. FTC is involved. Been there with these people and it doesn't end. I filed complaints with FBI, local police and FTC. They are calling from places that have no extradition agreement with USA. However, FTC is pursuing an angle that they company they use to actually get the money from you is in the US. I have had to testify.
This number keeps calling me and they state I'm in serious trouble and being investigated. The
caller has a heavy accent and is difficult to understand. They call repeatedly. It started after I looked at payday loans so they have to be connected.
They called me as well scared the devil out of me and when I called back it was a man who said he is name is Craig Miller... he said i was being sued by 350 companies for getting payday loans and not paying back .. when I told him I never received any monies from anyone he began to yell and say I was gonna get arrested... he said he was gonna call my job(or at least where he thought i worked) and then hung up the phone on me... this has to stop.. i know its a recession but dang you have to be a really sahdy person to accept a job like that!
"Officer Marshall Hudson" called from NY State Police, looking for a former employee. said he had a legal emergency and needs to get a message to (lets call her Rachel). I said Rachel isn't employed here, so we wouldn't contact her. He kept asking for a friend or anyone to get a hold of her. I transferred him to HR where he was told she would not be contacted. He also had mentioned someone had complaints against rachel's soc security? He told HR he had her ss# and birthdate and uh, yeh so do we! Sounded like he was reading a script.
