A person pretending to be Brian E. Kirby has called me and emailed me concerning a home I inquired about on Craigslist. He claims to own the home, and after 3 weeks of emails, phone calls, etc., we sent the $1600 ($800 deposit & $800 first month's rent). As it turns out, it is a scam.  He is actually using the name of the tenant currently living in the house. He even created an email account in this man's name. I know this because I have spoken to the REAL Brian E. Kirby that is currently renting the home.  

This man also has a home listed for rent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and although the ad is identical to the one I inquired about, with the exception of the size of the home.  He uses the name Zuckerman Jeffrey on this ad. PLEASE BEWARE!  He claims to be a missionary.........He called back claiming his daughter is very sick so they need 2 more month's rent up front even though they have already received $1600 from me, and if they don't get it, they will stop FedEx from sending us the keys to the house and the paperwork.  I checked with FedEx, and he did indeed print a label to make it look like he had sent the keys/paperwork, but FedEx said the sender still has the package in his possession - the package was NEVER shipped - only a label was printed.

I have contacted the FBI, but everyone needs to know about this man and his scam tactics.  I will press charges to the fullest extent of the law.

As you can see from the ad below, it is almost identical to the one posted above concerning the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania house.

I also ran into this fellow at 725 marlinspike pensacola fl.ame bs as the other houses. He is out of towh with his sports team. Daughter is in hospital and send him the money.
The house was listed on craigs list,truilia and zillow. This was today.7/27/12
