Caller left me a voice message on phone so I returned the call...He talked similar to a robot...Told me their was a lawsuit being filed against me in criminal court today by the IRS...Told me they were going to put a lean on my house , car and bank account, for fraudulent returns from 2008 to 2012...When he was thru speaking I told him to go right ahead and do that as I lived on SS , that the IRS sends you out a letter if they are investigating you , and I wasn't worried....He said I wouldn't get a check next month and hung up....
Received a phone call from an individual with an Indian accent stating i was a target of IRS criminal investigation fraud division concerning unpaid taxes from 2008-2013 and i owed 5498.00. A arrest warrant will be issued at the court house in 45 minutes if i did not resolve the issue within 45 minutes. They had conditions for settlement. 1) i could not hang up the phone; if i hung up the phone they would consider it a gesture of bad faith and would be arrested. 2) i was to go to the bank and transfer money to another account. Upon transfer i was to take the receipt to the local IRS office to show proof of payment and they case would be closed. 3) I could not involve any third parties, accountant, lawyer, etc. I told him these procedures are uncharacteristic of the IRS procedures and policies. He told me i was going to be arrested and hung up.
