These people have called me 6x in the past 2 weeks. I've asked them to quit calling and have resorted to just hanging up on them. Told me point blank that FTC and BBB could do nothing to stop the calling. Filed complaint with FTC anyway as we are on the National Do Not Call register.
Called my land line twice - on the 3rd and 6th. I didn't answer and they left no message. Caller ID said "Martini Susan" but since I don't know anyone by that name, or anyone at all from that area code, I've assumed it is a solicitation of some sort.
Seemed like a solicitation call - answered but it seemed like a call center and I hung up. I'm on the do not call list - don't appreciate this. Susan Martini was the name on the caller id.
This is a debt negotiation services program that say they will help you negotiate with our collectors and pay back a lessor amount. I looked it up does not seem to have any problems reported with BBB. As of 2010 only law firms are allowed to contact you in order to help in this area. I was suspicious of why they are using this particular name and number especially when these particular people are out of Chicago. However they never said I owed anyone anything, they said if I owed say about $20,000 I'd only have to pay back about $12,000.
