This person sent me a text message at 1:17am, it read " Hello , this is Math regarding the tomorrows heros, please kindly text me back when you receive this message. Thank you."
I have a piece of art work called"tomorrows heros" listed on a local classifieds web site. The site requires that I populate the address section of the ad, but I don't list my exact address, just something to give someone a good idea what area I live in.
I responded "K", this being the first time I've ever talked to this guy named "Math"
He texted back "Have you receive the check because I got a confirmation in my mail this morning that the package has been DELIVERED"
"
Now I'm pretty sure this guy is a scam. I googled his area code and found a scam associated with it. http://antifraudintl.org/showthread.php?t=50575 this is what I found.
I sent him this " You sent it to the wrong place." Now I don't believe for a second that he actually sent anything. I was hoping to draw out more info that would incriminate this guy.
He came back " I dont understand what you are saying"
Me: " You have the wrong info. IF you mailed anything, you mailed it to the wrong address. I never asked you to mail ANYTHING to me." Hoping he would start threatening me like that lady in the link said happened.
So far he hasn't responded.
