Yes, it's a SCAM. They claim to be with a federal investigation department that doesn't exist and will claim they have charges they are going to be pressed against you unless you send them money to stop the charges.. I have this done to me before and both times I just laugh at them and have fun with the call. Ask them to send you money instead lol I have. It's a total scam. Sad thing is some people actually fall for it!

Received a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS. He said there was a problem with my taxes with ommissions and errors, etc. I know for a fact this is false and on top of this I could barely understand him. I'm sure this was a SCAM. I would not take or return the call. The IRS does NOT operate like that, I know from personal experience
Some scammer with a strong indian accent. These are illegal immigrants who are trying to scam you for money. Don't listen to their little speech because they'll keep begging you for money saying they work for blah blah and you are in trouble with the law. A lot of these illegals found your name and number online and it's a shame a lot of people do get scammed by these crooks. Don't fall for their scam or give your credit card information.
1/27/17 Received a call from "Natasha Parker, Badge # 64000109" and her "Senior Office Jessica Allen" who had a warrant for my arrest because of: IRS Violation, Tax Evasion and Misleading Information. Supposedly this was the final attempt to contact and unless a payment was made right away, local Police would arrest me. Yeah, okay. It seemed fishy all things considered but you just never know so I put them on hold and called the IRS directly. They verified that everything was good on my end and that they would NEVER operate in that manner. While on hold, they hung up and started calling me from "911". I guess they learned how to use Call Masking.
Although there are plenty of red flags I can see how the casual, unguarded and easily spooked individual could fall victim. No judgement from me here. Their lies hover around plenty of truths so if it coincides with your reality, maybe already having a payment plan in place with the IRS already or taking certain liberties with your taxes on certain years or recent changes, it can catch you off guard.
